Cutest little motel ever! Super clean and plenty of space. Love the minimalistic, industrial makeover. My only criticism would be the super fat pillows. Way too big for someone who likes a low pillow. Normally take my own but forgot it this time! Quiet and close to all village facilities. Rachel the manager was really friendly and very helpful as were all the locals we spoke to on our 1st visit to Russell Island.
Good for a motel, although there's not much choice on Russell Island. Rooms were clean with fly screens and air con, which are needed. We were provided with items for washing up, although the dishwashing liquid smelly as though it had been replenished using the toilet cleaner ???? Towels we're provided but take your own shampoo.
The Grove on Russell has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
