We had a 2 day stay at the resort, it is a great place to take a family, pool was great, so was the tennis courts, rock climbing wall and swings for the kids. The Resort does need some TLC for sure, but the rooms are clean the staff is very friendly, the grounds are great. Donna is very helpful and nothing was a hassle for her. We will be back again for sure, hopefully to see some improvements. Good luck to the new owners I am sure you will do what needs to be done.
This "Resort" is in need of a major makeover. Rooms have had some maintenance and upgrades, however I'm sure they were completed by a primary school student. The management needs to be changed, as I had asked when the restaurant was going to open only to be told they didn't open on the day that we arrived. As we were a large party of wedding guests you would have thought that they would have made the effort to open the restaurant. Also the bar didn't open till 5:30 or 6:00 pm. I asked a member of staff if she liked working there and if they would be looking forward to the potential renovations that the new owners might be starting. The answer I got was that she was the GM and had been there for 20 years, and that thete wasn't going to be much done. With that she walked off not wanting to interact with a guest. The only staff member that did interact and was polite was the bar manager, who knew how to talk to guests.
Beautiful surroundings, very quiet, quaint rooms, bit rundown but very charming and lots of character. Restaurant/bar wasn't open when we were there but it wasn't busy and it was midweek. Free WiFi is offered but is advised as not great coverage - we found this true. Rooms are clean and appealing, resort has function rooms/balconies, above decent pool, tennis court and bbq area. Price is very fair for a lovely stay. Would stay again
