A huge set of complex caves with many trails and numerous caves at different levels to explore. There are bodies of clear water in the cave floor without any fish and plants! We vested our eyes on beautiful rock formations like stalactites, stalagmites and columns. There are all also wondrous formations like the shoal with its unique lacy pattern that resembles a fabric. Simply beautiful! PS: Check out the tour times at the ticketing office. While waiting for the Cave tour to start we took a 15 minute tour of The Blue Lake. Nice!
Friendly tour guides and an amazing system of caves. It was great to learn from the tour guides about the history. We also saw two platypus and lyre birds when we were exploring blue lake. Definitely worth the $45, as the money helps the national parks.
We did the River tour and it was beautiful. The tour guide Tanya was friendly and informative. They cap the number of guests per tour and it could be a bit crowded when it's on the high end. But still manageable and enjoyable. There is a free self guided tour called the Devil's Coach house which is worthwhile but not as pretty as the River Tour (but it's free!). Overall, well worth the cost.
This is a wonderful attraction. Located about two to three hours outside of Sydney. They're ancient caves carved out of flowing water a very long time ago. Now they are preserved and quite a popular tourist attraction. They light the caves so you can see the magnificent beauty of this place. Unfortunately, over the years many people have walked away with pieces of the caves so that today tours are only given by well trained professionals and only during certain hours. They are worth the trip to see them. I highly recommend a video here.
Beautiful caves. Wonderful natural beauty. Staff and guides were awesome. Only grouse i have is the distance between the parking and entry to the caves. We had a few older family members with us, not the most comfortable walk down to the caves. Especially from car park 2. I am sure it is easy enough to arrange for buses to shuttle people to and fro. Electric if needed!!
