Perfect for relaxing a bit outside the city! Good to get rid of the loud music in the center. The rooms are in need of renovation if they want more stars. Beds are a cheap, quite short and really squeaky. Kitchen was ok but very slow cooking pots but maybe we could have tried the main kitchen. About 20 mins walking distance from the city centre and 5 minutes from Coles. Would stay here again but a don't expect any luxury.
We took the whole apartment for two couples just for one night. Rooms weren't fancy at all but just for one-night sleep it was enough. However if we would have to stay longer we would pick a different place. There was a problem with bugs and spiders - lot of them inside - but maybe this was because of the location between trees. You should take notice that WiFi is only available near the reception.
Perfect for what you might need. We stayed one night before heading to a tour in the morning. It was clean, good space and had a nice little kitchenette. Only thing was our shower didn't drain that well so you felt like you were standing in a pool as you showered. But would go back.
Great location, reasonably price by today's standards. Our room was fine, clean, tidy & everything worked. Pool was out of action for repairs during our 2 day stay. The hosts Bryan & Jude were both very helpful....oh yes they also sell very cold beer at a fair price. (They seemed to have recovered well since being hit by a Cat.4 Cyclone 3 months ago). Also very good free WiFi, they are on the NBN....????????
Bush Village Budget Cabins has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
