Free for Toowoomba residents. Went for the Da Vinci exhibit. Overall enjoyed it, but we were a little disappointed in the quality of writing on the plaques. Grammatical and spelling errors throughout, and sometimes not enough information.
My first visit despite living in Toowoomba for the past 12 months. Fantastic display of local and Queensland history. Great time with the kids and will be back again and again. Cafe was excellent, scones, coffee, chips and milkshake all fantastic.
Cobb & Co Museum is a very interesting place with diverse exhibits set in comfortable surrounds. Opportunities for learning by participation are provided across the age groups. The coffee shop is pleasant and comfortable too. Unusual gifts and souvenirs are on sale at the gift shop. The museum hosts special events such as the Hand Made Markets that featured today in time to purchase Christmas gifts and supplies.
Cobb+Co Museum has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
