I always have had a good time at big kart track. The track is fun, the karts are fair speed and you can have great battles with friends. Yes it's expensive, but they probably have a lot of overheads include up keep of the karts. However this time I brought my 7 yr old son. He's a good driver and motorbike rider. So I put him on the kids track. They went extremely slow and frankly not worth the $20 for 10 mins of slow circles. Quite disappointing.
A very decent go-kart track, it's in the open and quite fun especially in the rain. The prices compare reasonably to sidetracked, although it is quite of the way best visited if your going up the road to Australia Zoo or otherwise going to make a day of it
Had a fun time here, the track is fast and flowing with a couple of slower turns in the middle. None of the karts I used had any issues but the staff are more than happy to swap you out if you do have any problems. The only thing I was disappointed about was that there is no timing equipment built into the facility and you had to use your phone and take it with you on the kart instead, and unfortunately the only time I tried my phone locked once I got out there.
Big Kart Track Pty Ltd has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
