The hotel is awkwardly placed in the middle of a new suburban estate, not close to shops, cafes and restaurants as advertised. The room had no windows or view as advertised and a number of the fittings were broken (lamp shades etc) I politely asked for a refund and we would make other arrangements and the gentleman at the front desk advised that I would have to go through a third party website for such things even though we had paid insurance in the room. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone, the service was also highly unprofessional.
Direct Hotels - Pacific Sands has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
