Definitely not a 5 star resort. 4 star at best. General service and hospitality is appalling. You would think maybe the service would make up the difference but definitely not. Should consider hiring staff that actually understand the hospitality trade. I would say 90% of the staff should be working in a different industry. Not sure if management has changed but if it has it's definitely for the worse. Previous experience a few years ago was much better.
We had a wonderful stay for two days using our Accor membership. It's the first time we have stayed since it became the Sofitel (previously the Sheridan I think). All of the housekeeping, restaurant, lobby and pool staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The facilities were five star and the location was perfect right on Hasting Street and main beach. Breakfast was great. We had a special sunset visitor. Wonderful. Will post a separate rating on the Beach House. Will definitely want to stay again. Will look at booking in soon.
Really nice hotel. Breakfast was excellent with fresh and good choices. Room didn't have a super great view (overlooked the front of the hotel) but made up for it by being extremely spacious and comfortable with a nice balcony. Bathroom was also really nice with all the usual amenities. Pool and gym also exceeded expectations. Would stay here again.
Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
