Praise must be given to the owners (Alan and Aryna) and their beautiful cottages. We stayed in one of the self contained cottages and cannot wait to go back. The location, service and genuine rapport by the hosts make this one of the most memorable trips we have ever had. The Falls is not the most mobility friendly, with some steep inclines, a little boardwalk trek to the cottages and a few steps into the cottage (depending on which cottage you stay in). That being said, they were very accommodating, driving us to the front of our cottage and picking us up when required so that we avoided the 'mobility pitfalls'. Once inside we had absolutely no issue at all with spacious living areas, no steps and a walk in shower (seperate to their spa).
Alan and Aryna made us feel very welcome at The Falls. The cabin was very cozy, especially with the fire crackling.Firewood and kindling were provided, of course, and so were warm pastry breakfast treats. There were so many nice touches, such as candles by the spa, complimentary fruit and a little port. Our favourite excursion was a stroll to the waterhole in Kondalilla Park, which is only a short stroll from the Falls. We had a fabulous time, thank you!
The Falls Montville has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
