  Full disclosure: we only stopped here for food after a full day of getting taken out by the surf on Seven Mile Beach, so we were a little tired, sunburnt and hungry. I've never visited Berry before (as I'm from the UK aka "a pom") but I could definitely see myself living here. It has the best of both worlds, an hour out of the city, real country lifestyle and 15 minutes from the beach. But the town was still quiet at 7pm when we entered the hotel for a drink and I think that is reflected by this venue. It it is a big pub with good bistro food and an ideal location but I think it could be magnificent if it got more trade. All the staff were really friendly, there was a great menu on offer including specials that looked as if they actually did change weekly, and although we all agreed the food was lacking something, we had just spent the day drinking salt water so I'd definitely give this place a second go.

  Loved our lunch here. Food was quick and very filling. A few drinks of malibu/ pineapple and turkey/ coke washed it all down. Beautiful day and great not to have the hustle and bustle of traffic now that the bypass is open. Def will be returning.
