About Robin Hood Hotel

QLD Tourism welcomes Robin Hood Hotel, in Drouin You'll discover wonderful places to visit in Drouin.

The Robin Hood Inn was one of the stopovers for the Cobb & Co Coach in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Built by Henry Dickens in 1870 the Robin Hood remains much the same as it was then. In the lounge and bar areas photos on the walls show time gone by, the families, the travellers and local terrain. Today, the Robin Hood Inn still offers the traveller and locals “unequalled hospitality” and clean, comfortable lodgings.

Robin Hood Hotel

Robin Hood Hotel has interesting facts - Why are Pubs called Hotels in Australia? A pub, short for Public House, is an establishment whose main function is to serve alcohol, mostly beer. Also known as an Ale house or Tavern. The reason for this is that until recently, in Australia (late 1980s), pubs were forced, by the liquor laws, to provide accommodation and so were accurately called hotels.
