Blackman's Brewery is in Torquay, where beer is brewed just a hop and a skip from the surf, not far from Bells Beach, one of the world's most famous surf spots and home of the prestigious surfing competitions, the Bells Beach Rip Curl Pro. Blackman's have a core range of beers including the gold medal winning Smoked Porter, and silver & bronze winning Unfiltered Lager, all brewed on site. Blackman's Brewery have created a spot for you to come and taste some quality brews and catch up with your friends and family. The all-day kitchen is open whenever beers are being served. Blackman's Brewery have developed a share style, beer-food menu to complement Blackman's hand crafted beers. Mix and match from bites such as beer battered fish tacos or spent grain meatballs, settle in for a pizza and look out for the changing specials, like sticky beef ribs with stout jus and pulled pork bau. Out the back, in what used to be a kid's games room, is the brewery equipment. It is a Canadian made setup, showcasing beautiful copper and stainless steel which can be viewed through the glass at the end of the hallway and beer garden. Renn spends his days in here making the magic happen, and the best thing is you are welcome to join him. Public brew days and brewery tours: From 12noon till 4pm on every second Sunday of the month, you can come and learn how Renn brews the beer. Brewery tours are given at 4pm daily for up to ten people.
