Located at the Wharf area at the northern end of Sturt Street Bourke, is the fully restored 1923 vintage Crossley oil fuelled stationary engine. This engine, manufactured by Crossley Brothers of Manchester England, is a fie example of an early four stroke diesel type engine, which followed on this one, were used in many applications such as electricity generation, water pumping and factory machine opertaion.
