Lone Goat Gallery is Byron Shire’s contemporary community gallery, presenting a monthly program of exhibitions by emerging and established artists from the Northern Rivers region. Located in the Byron Bay Library building in downtown, just a short walk from Main Beach and town centre.
Lone Goat Gallery is a catalytic space, focussed on supporting ambitious exhibitions by regional artists to realise dynamic and innovative work, and also curates and produces special exhibitions and projects in collaboration with partner organisations and artists both in the gallery and offsite.
Their name was inspired by the elusive and last remaining goat of a small herd that once roamed Cape Byron Headland, reflecting the creativity and individuality of the Northern Rivers arts community.
