With the Parramatta River on one side and Brays Bay on the other, 1606 Luis de Torres café couldn’t be in a better location, particularly for those that enjoy a walk along the water’s edge before their meal. Inside, guests are greeted with a modern interior of rustic wooden tables, shelves hanging from thick rope and a menu that’s draped from a mast complete with a folded sail. It all stems from a nautical theme, based off the café’s namesake who first discovered the straight between New Guinea and Australia.
