    About Stockwell

Book Direct with the Owner at Stockwell with QLD Tourism in Stockwell, for all your Attraction and travel needs.

The towering church spire makes the hamlet of Stockwell at the base of the Barossa Range. Towering silos and golden wheat fields are a sign of Stockwell's grain farming past. Founded by Samuel Stockwell in 1853, the village and mill still produce flour today. Stockwell operated as an important stop along the overland cattle route from New South Wales, and once boasted a blacksmith, post office, bootmaker, hotel, and a number of small stores. The Stockwell Hotel, known by locals as "the Stockie", is a friendly place for travellers and visitors to relax over a pub meal. The post office found a new lease on life and has been remodelled as "that little place" serving coffee, cakes, and a number of other tasty treats. Visit Stockwell for a romantic escape, to relax and unwind, or for some outdoor adventure. Explore the wineries throughout the region, strike out on walking trails through rich landscapes, or enjoy a meal in one of the region's acclaimed restaurants....
